After being taken to the lonely island, Jak is abandoned there. Count Veger, the power broker for the High Council, orders Jak’s exile to the bleak Wasteland due to Jak’s actions. Even Ashelin is powerless to protect Jak after a surprise attack by the Metal Heads destroys the palace.
As rumors continue circulating about Jak’s connections with Krew and Kor, the city holds Jak responsible for its precarious circumstances.
People in Haven City have developed a growing mistrust of Jak’s dark powers. Even though it has been one year since Jak and Daxter defended Haven City against Kor and the onslaught of Metal Heads, the city is still in the throes of violent upheaval as three factions battle it out for control of the city’s streets.
